Rick Witsken to be Inducted into the
Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame
Our very own Rick Witsken will be inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame on Friday, February 5th at the Barbara S. Wynne Tennis Center located on the North Central High School Campus. The reception begins at 6:30 followed by the induction ceremony.
Rick is a former pro tour player who still plays competitively in tournaments. Rick graduated from Carmel High School in 1989. While there, Rick won the title of Indiana State Singles Champion his junior and senior years. Rick continued his tennis success at the University of Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide Tennis Team. An All-American and an All-Academic player on the men's team, Rick would become one of the top doubles players in college. After college Rick began to work with his brother Todd at the Indianapolis Tennis Center. There, Rick and Todd worked closely with some of Indiana's top players. In 2001, Rick formed Team Witsken to provide a tennis atmosphere that he and his brother worked hard to create. Team Witsken works with many families throughout the Central Indiana area.
